Tahoe’s granite boulders offer a landscape shaped by exploration, creativity, and possibility. Spread through forests and alpine terrain, the blocs provide more than established problems; they create space to engage with what remains undiscovered.
Tenaya Outclimb and Jimmy Webb spent time with climbers moving through Tahoe’s best blocs, gaining insight into the process of projecting and developing new lines. Days on the rock focused on reading stone, refining movement, and understanding how hard problems evolve from vision, patience, and repeated effort.
Beyond individual ascents, the experience highlighted development as a form of care. By sharing knowledge and approach, new lines took shape thoughtfully, contributing to Tahoe’s bouldering landscape while reinforcing a culture rooted in respect, curiosity, and shared responsibility.
